What makes us special?

Tench Tilghman holds a three-star rating with the Maryland State Department of Education. Our students are enrolled in an equitable and rigorous academic program and receive targeted support from teachers and staff! As a 21st Century Community Learning Center, we provide after-school programming that allows our students to tap into the arts while also receiving additional academic support. We are also considered a BCPSS Intensive Literacy Site, which guarantees targeted literacy support for all learners on their journey to college or career readiness.
